WHEN SHOULD I HIRE A TAX PROFESSIONAL?
Taxes affect most areas of your life and tax laws change all the time. There are several situations when it makes financial sense to consult a tax pro.
> Wanting to work with a tax professional to pay as little tax as legally possible
> Investment income
> Business income
> Rental income
> Planning to retire soon
> Getting married or divorced
> Having a child
WHEN SHOULD I HIRE A BOOKKEEPER?
Ideally, you'd hire them soon after starting your business before the process of data collection and analysis becomes overwhelming and so that you can focus on what you do best and enjoy in your business. Otherwise you could end up with several months' worth of bank/credit card statements, receipts and invoices to be processed and not know where you financially stand on a monthly/quarterly basis.
